Sanchong, December 14, 2024 — Yuanqi Learning Center in Sanchong District became a stage where art and hope intertwined. Hosted by DE International, in collaboration with Chengshuo Technology and Legislator Wang Wei-Yuan, the "Ripple of Hope Project – SDGs Painting Classes" concluded successfully. The event aimed to inspire creativity and environmental awareness through art, focusing on the challenges faced by underprivileged families concerning water resources. It provided a warm, educational afternoon for children in need.

Art and Philanthropy Unite to Paint a Brighter Future

Professional artists from DE International, including Zhou Zhiyi, healing expert Greenie Healing, Sophie Lee, and Yang Zhan, passionately led live painting sessions. Through their vibrant strokes, they conveyed the importance of water resources and the SDGs to the children. The young participants expressed their creativity on canvas, cultivating an interest in art while learning about the significance of environmental conservation.

The atmosphere was lively as the children used their brushes to depict the value of water resources. Teachers offered detailed guidance, helping them understand the environmental impact of plastic bottles and the critical need for water conservation. Artists interacted with the children, sharing their support for the "Ripple of Hope Project" and emphasizing the profound social impact of combining charity with education.

Breaking the Cycle: Addressing Water Challenges for Disadvantaged Families

The inspiration for this course stems from the challenges faced by underprivileged families in Taiwan regarding drinking water. Financial constraints often force low-income families to rely on bottled water, increasing their expenses and health risks. The "Ripple of Hope Project" not only promotes environmental education through charity painting classes but also provides practical support by donating water purifiers and filters to these families, directly easing their financial burden and improving their quality of life.

Through the integration of art and environmentalism, DE International seeks to raise awareness and demonstrate how art can be a force for social change, far beyond its aesthetic appeal.

Collaboration and Vision: Filling Every Drop with Hope

The event’s co-organizer, Chengshuo Technology, demonstrated a heartfelt commitment to social responsibility. By combining technological innovation with charitable initiatives, they created a synergy between technology and art, empowering both fields.

DE International also took the opportunity to call on more artists to join the next phase of the project and to continue submitting art pieces that convey the principles of the SDGs. The goal is to extend the spirit of the "Ripple of Hope Project" to more communities and families, leveraging the power of art to drive change.

Next Steps: Inviting More to Join the Cause

DE International and Chengshuo Technology urge people from all walks of life to support the "Ripple of Hope Project." Whether through participating in painting classes, donating water purifiers, or volunteering as teaching assistants, every contribution can be the starting point for change.
